“God is not a belief to which you give your assent. God becomes a reality whom you know intimately, meet everyday, one whose strength becomes your strength, whose love, your love. Live this life of the presence of God long enough and when someone asks you, “Do you believe there is a God?” you may find yourself answering, “No, I do not believe there is a God. I know there is a God.”~Ernest Boyer, Jr.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your might.~Deuteronomy 6:5

Today is the day that has been long a waited at our house! This afternoon while going out to feed the chickens some scraps what did we find but an EGG! That's right our first egg it's tiny but they will get bigger the more they lay, this is just an exciting start.

Indiana Caleb ?

So Caleb's latest obsession is with Indiana Jones, but at our house we have Indiana Caleb. His church belt doubles as a whip!
This past weekend while at my parents house he introduced himself as "Indy" to the cashier at the store. He did however whisper that his real name was Caleb but today he had to be called Indy. He has decided for his 6th birthday he wants an Indy birthday...stay tuned to see what I come up with, this one is a challenge I'm a natural at princesses but I don't know about this :)

Lovin Summer

Haven't posted a lot besides menus lately but what can I say we haven't been up to much these days just swimming and lovin summer!
This weekend we went to the black and blueberry festival at Petals from the Past, since we have done this two years in a row it is now an annual event! We had a blast picking blueberries, eating blueberries (i think i went home with blue teeth), riding horses and feeding sheep. The blueberries were full this year and the blackberries were HUGE! Look Mom I got good ones
Say "blueberry"
Ella loved feeding the sheep...I think she would have taken one home

Caleb riding Destiny, all went well until he shook all over trying to get a fly off and almost got Caleb off, but Caleb hung on for dear life
Oh the sweet rewards of a day a the blueberry patch!

My song of grateful praise

For the beauty of the earth,For the glory of the skies;
For the love which from our birth,
Over and around us lies;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the wonder of each hour,
Of the day and of the night;
Hill and vale and tree and flow'r,
Sun and moon, and stars of light;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the joy of ear and eye,
For the heart and mind's delight;
For the mystic harmony,
Linking sense to sound and sight;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the joy of human love,
Brother, sister, parent, child;
Friends on Earth and friends above,
For all gentle thoughts and mild;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.
