“God is not a belief to which you give your assent. God becomes a reality whom you know intimately, meet everyday, one whose strength becomes your strength, whose love, your love. Live this life of the presence of God long enough and when someone asks you, “Do you believe there is a God?” you may find yourself answering, “No, I do not believe there is a God. I know there is a God.”~Ernest Boyer, Jr.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul and with all your might.~Deuteronomy 6:5

Seasons

I love the changing of seasons I am always ready for the change about the time it comes around. And today as I laid out at the pool-Ella sleeping in my lap- I closed my eyes and listened to the last sound of summer. Today was the last day the pool was open, and I just laid there and listened to the sounds of kids playing. It made me think this was the last day Ella would be at the pool as a 2 year old, before I know it Caleb will be 6. Just like the seasons change so do my kids, oh that I could just stop time for a little while and hold on to them a little more. I love my kids just the way they are now what a joy! But I know they too must change and grow such is life.

That is so sweet! You are savoring this time in yours and your kids life-a lot of people find themselves too busy to notice. You will look back on this time with joy, not regret. You are such a great mommy!

So precious. I loved your thoughts, because I really understand that emotion too!
